FEHAC Sustainability Committee takes classic car pollution seriously
Cleaner fuel for classic cars and better air quality are important themes for the FEHAC Sustainability Committee. Owners of classic vehicles should also know how they can contribute to cleaner cities and a better rural environment.
An additional concern is that engines in classic cars often cope poorly with the rising ethanol content in modern petrol. This can cause technical damage to fuel systems and engine parts. It is therefore important to look at alternatives that are both more environmentally friendly and technically safer for historic vehicles.
For that reason, the committee has mapped out which new and cleaner alternative fuels are now available. These fuels offer ways to move toward sustainability while keeping rolling heritage on the road.
